Description of the Job:
We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join Airbus Defence and Space in Portsmouth. You will join our Waveform team within the Modem Product Group and will report to the Head of Modems.
The Modem Product Group is undertaking the design and implementation of a series of satellite communications Software Defined Radio (SDR) modem systems for Government and Military use. You will be part of a small multi-disciplinary team containing system, software, firmware and infrastructure engineers.
You will research and develop aspects of modem products and associated communications systems, using your experience in embedded/real-time software withing complex defence systems.
You may not have a complete understanding of the engineering techniques and technical aspects of satellite modem systems, but we’ll be happy to teach you through a combination of working with our existing team and by training.
You will need to be eligible to gain UK SC Security Clearance to undertake the role
